Annually the Foundation Future For Nature awards three prizes
totalling 50,000 Euros to young people who made a difference in the
area of protection of species. Burgers' Zoo finances 150,000 Euros

Stichting Lucie Burgers
The Stichting Lucie Burgers is a fund that finances behavioural
research (35,000 Euros per year) that contributes to the
conservation of vulnerable species. The Stichting Lucie Burgers has
been founded in 1980 and named after Lucie Burgers. She was the
daughter of the founder and one of the previous Board members of
Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem. Lucie Burgers had an extensive knowledge of
animals and was a very decisive woman. read more »
ITCF
The International Tropical Conservation Fund (ITCF) strongly
focuses on the conservation of a large area of nature in Belize
(150,000 Euros per year), to which Burgers' Zoo actually

FIN
Burgers' Zoo is on the Board of the Federation for International
Nature Conservation (FIN), which, amongst others, makes an effort
to acquire funds for about a dozen organisations in the area of
conservation of species and habitats. read more »
NNBF
The fifteen zoos that have joined the Nederlandse Vereniging van
Dierentuinen (NVD) (Dutch Organisation of Zoos), together
established a conservation fund, with which they actively
contribute to the conservation of nature. This fund is known as the
NNBF (NVD NatuurBeschermingsFonds, NVD Nature Conservation
